Canton Fair Badge Guide — Your Go-to for Overseas Buyers

The 140th Canton Fair is just around the corner, and here come the answers to the questions buyers care about most. What’s new in the badge policy for overseas buyers What documents do you needand how do you apply Here is everything you need to know.

1. Holders of a valid Overseas Buyer Badge issued at a previous session can use the badge to enter the Fair Complex directly upon verification. No badge activation is required.

2. Overseas Buyer Badges issued on the basis of a "work visa" at or before the 134th Canton Fair are no longer valid. Holders must apply for a Purchasing Agent Badge as required to attend the Canton Fair.

New applications, replacements and renewals are all free of charge.

Overseas buyers must present the original of one of the following four types of ID:

● Foreign Passport

● Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents

● Mainland Travel Permit for Taiwan Residents

●Chinese Passport + Overseas Permanent Residence Permit / Permanent Residence Visa

Alternative Registration Offices

Buyers holding a foreign passport, a Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents, or a Mainland Travel Permit for Taiwan Residents are encouraged to obtain their Overseas Buyer Badge at one of the following alternative registration offices for faster processing.

Registration Offices at the Complex

Buyers holding a Chinese passport together with a permanent residence permit or visa should apply directly at registration offices at the Complex, as applications cannot be processed at alternative registration offices.
