Our design always begins with a proper analysis, a deep analysis of every project. We have a clear understanding of the client's brief and the client's requirements, but also we try to identify a strong concept, a strong main idea that later will be developed into a design solution.
Over the years, of course, architecture and interior design are influenced by different parameters, for example, sustainability, environmental design, eco friendly design. So these are all new directions that we take into account when we design, when we take on a new project.

When you work independently on a small studio scale, there is always some periods of self doubt and rethinking of the direction of the studio. Of course this is more often when the studio is young at the very beginning, but I think it's also very creative and it keeps you alert about everything that's happening to continue to have a little bit of, self investigation as you move on in your later career.
One way to solve it is to keep an eye on what other mentors or architects and designers that you admire can, which kind of strategies they follow. And you can try to be inspired by them. You can try to analyze them, but of course you have to reform them in the way that fits your needs.
In the recent years and the international way of studying architecture and interior design, but also international projects and a lot of Internet communication with the social media has brought much closer to Chinese architects, the Chinese education of architecture and design with the western. However, the European background has to do with culture, cultural references and the DNA of each European designer that has a different perspective and has something different to offer to China, to Chinese projects and Chinese clients.

What is your most satisfying project at present What aspect of the project appealed to you most as a designer
One project that we just completed is the cabana store in Beijing, which was very satisfying in the sense that the client had a very open mind and even though they explained to us very clearly the design brief, the functions and the requirements that they needed, they allowed us a lot of creative freedom to design the space.
This store cabana is a furniture showroom, and they showcase many famous brands, but also some niche creative small furniture studio items and and the interesting part, the creative part is that they wanted a space to showcase these items that will be in a dialogue, in a relationship with the products, not just an empty display space.

This is a very accurate observation. Of course architecture has to do with reality, with a built project and the built environment. So you have to follow all the functions, all them sizes, areas, circulation and safety, regulations and construction methods. So this is the real part of architecture, but of course this is this architecture is more than that. This is only the building process. Architecture also has to do with romance and emotion, inspiration and an overall creativity. So in this case we always like to follow the motto of the Japanese architect Fumihiko Maki.
‘Fumihiko Maki: Maybe the Architect’s role is to find the latent desires of the society that are not required explicitly by the program’

With the increasing possibility of interaction between more cities, architecture and landscape, what are your reflections on public space in urban environment
Indeed, in the recent years, there is a lot of discussion in the architecture and design field about a public space and people have realized the communities have realized. But also architects have realized that architecture is not only what we build, but it's also the negative space around it, the surrounding area, the landscaping of a building of a public project, and in general the open space in a city is very important to, um, to make better the lifestyle of the quality of life of the people who inhabit the city.
What do you think is the future of architecture Technology or art, or something else
It's hard to imagine what will be the future of architecture because architecture is a discipline. It's a field that is inspired by many different parameters. Definitely technology. 3D-printing, mass production of new materials, environment friendly materials and faster to produce materials is definitely an ongoing trend right now and it will develop in the future. However, architecture should never lose and I don't think it will lose the artistic value, the creative inspiration that can offer a better quality of space, interior or exterior public space than in mass production and of of a building.
