On May 28th, 2024, Dr. WEI Zhaohui, Secretary-General of CAEXPO Secretariat, paid a courtesy call on His Excellency Dato Seri Setia Dr Amin Liew Abdullah, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Minister of Finance and Economy (MOFE) II of Brunei Darussalam, during when she briefed on the working proposals on the 21st CAEXPO.

Minister Dato Dr Amin Liew spoke highly of the important role played by the CAEXPO in promoting the China-ASEAN cooperation and remained supportive of this trade event. He praised the CAEXPO Secretariat for bringing a business delegation to Brunei, and hoped that the CAEXPO could help encourage more Chinese companies, those from Guangxi in particular, to take part in building the Brunei-Guangxi Economic Corridor and to seek business opportunities in more sectors for practical cooperation in the country. Other attendees included MOFE Permanent Secretary Dr. Hajah May Faézah Haji Ahmad, Deputy Permanent Secretary Mr. Harris Brig. Jen (B) D.P Haji Ibrahim and senior officials in charge of Brunei Economic Development Board, Industry and Business Eco-system and Trade.
