Today’s conference marks not only the announcement of the RIBA Architecture Festival Asia (RAFA) and the launch of the 2025 Connexion Shenzhen, but more importantly, the official establishment of strategic cooperation between RIBA and IM Sinoexpo. As a globally authoritative academic institution in architecture, RIBA possesses profound expertise and extensive influence in advancing architectural innovation, technological applications, and sustainable development. Meanwhile, IM Sinoexpo, as China's leading exhibition organizer, has been consistently dedicated to facilitating cross-industry exchanges and collaborations through its exhibition platforms over the years. We firmly believe this powerful alliance between RIBA and IM Sinoexpo will bring unprecedented opportunities and transformative changes to Asia's architectural industry.

2025年12月16日，第三届博华深圳联展将在深圳国际会展中心盛大开幕，2025 RAFA亚洲建筑庆典将与2025博华深圳联展同期同地举办，预计展览规模将达到30万平方米，吸引超过3,000家展商和20万名海内外观众。特别值得一提的是，博华深圳联展的建筑工程和建材设计板块汇聚了行业领先的建筑材料供应商、工程设计公司和创新技术企业，展示了从绿色建材、智能建造到可持续设计的最新成果，为建筑行业提供了前沿的技术和解决方案。

The 3rd Connexion Shenzhen will grandly open at Shenzhen World Exhibition and Convention Center (Baoan) on December 16, 2025 RAFA will be held concurrently at the same an expected exhibition area of 300,000 square meters, the event is projected to attract over 3,000 exhibitors and 200,000 domestic and international visitors. Notably, the architecture engineering and building materials design section will assemble leading industry players including building material suppliers, engineering design firms and innovative technology enterprises, showcasing cutting-edge achievements ranging from green building materials and intelligent construction to sustainable design, thereby providing advanced technological solutions for the architectural sector.

相信在RIBA与上海博华的共同努力下，RAFA将成为亚洲建筑行业的一张亮丽名片，为全球建筑行业的可持续发展贡献我们的力量。

In his keynote address, Ken WAI, Global Design Principal, Aedas,Honorary Chair, RIBA China Chapter, remarked that,

作为一个建筑师，我深知我们今天所面临的复杂挑战。尤其是在亚洲，快速城市化、气候变化和资源稀缺等问题尤为迫切，这些因素正在重塑我们的城市和社区。同时，科技为我们带来了巨大机遇——例如人工智能、大数据和智能建造正在悄悄改变我们的行业。

In today's world, we face pressing challenges—rapid urbanisation, climate change, and resource scarcity are reshaping the way we design and in Asia, these issues are particularly urgent. However, with challenges come logies such as Al, big data, and smart construction are transforming our industry, offering new ways to innovate and create.

自 2020 年年初 RIBA 中国办公室成立以来，我们时刻关注行业的变化，积极推进与本地合作伙伴密切合作，推动中国建筑界的国际化发展，并将亚洲建筑师的才华呈现于全球舞台。

Since the RIBA China Office was established in 2020, we have closely observed the changes in our have actively collaborated with local partners,promoted the internationalisation of China's architectural community, and celebrate the remarkable talent of architects across Asia.

今年，RAFA 将提供一个更宽广的平台，让更多的建筑师、设计师和行业领袖能够交流合作。通过这个平台，我们可以交换思想，推动创新变革，集结多方的专业知识和力量，探索将设计与科技、气候、可持续性等议题相结合的解决方案。期待届时与大家继续对话，也期待RAFA 能够激发新创意，推动切实变革。通过设计与合作，共同应对当今的挑战。

发布会的高潮是 RAFA 与博华的战略合作启动仪式。RIBA中国区发展首席吕慢女士, Aedas全球设计董事，RIBA中国分会荣誉主席韦业启（Ken Wai）先生和上海博华国际展览有限公司总经理章学强先生作为代表上台，以及到场的多家建筑与设计企业代表也一同上台见证这一重要时刻。在众人的掌声中，双方完成签约，共同开启了亚洲建筑界的全新篇章。这一合作将整合各方资源，为亚洲建筑行业带来更多机遇和可能，相信未来的亚洲建筑市场将因这次合作而焕发出新的活力！

The climax of the press conference was the launch ceremony of the strategic cooperation between RAFA and IM Sinoexpo (Sinoexpo Informa Markets). Ms. Umi Lyu, Head of Development China of RIBA, Ken WAI, Global Design Principal of Aedas, Honorary Chair of RIBA China Chapter, and Mr. XQ Zhang, Managing Director, IM Sinoexpo, took the stage as representatives. Representatives from many attending architectural and design enterprises also came on stage together to witness this important moment. Amidst the applause of the audience, the two parties completed the signing, jointly opening a brand-new chapter in the Asian architectural community. This cooperation will integrate resources from all parties, bringing more opportunities and possibilities to the Asian construction industry. It is believed that the future Asian architectural market will be invigorated with new vitality due to this cooperation!

随后，RIBA 中国区发展首席吕慢女士进行了详细介绍了RAFA亚洲建筑庆典的规划与亮点，让在场嘉宾对 2025 年 12 月将在深圳举办的这场盛会充满期待。吕慢女士表示，RAFA 亚洲建筑庆典将聚焦 “创新、科技、可持续”，汇聚全球智慧，探索科技创新驱动建筑行业转型升级的新路径，通过智能化建筑设计与建造，为未来城市注入智慧与活力，助力应对城市化进程中的各种挑战，共同打造更加美好的人类居住环境。

Subsequently, Ms. Umi Lyu, Head of Development China of RIBA, gave a detailed introduction to the planning and highlights of the RAFA, making the guests present full of anticipation for this grand event to be held in Shenzhen in December 2025. Ms. Umi Lyu stated that the RAFA will focus on "innovation, technology, and sustainability", bringing together global wisdom to explore new paths for the transformation and upgrading of the construction industry driven by scientific and technological innovation. Through intelligent architectural design and construction, it will inject wisdom and vitality into future cities, help address various challenges in the process of urbanization, and jointly create a better living environment for humanity.
