  第八届中国国际进口博览会在沪开幕

     11月5日上午，第八届中国国际进口博览会在上海拉开帷幕。国务院总理李强出席开幕式，并发表主旨演讲。

     李强表示，进博会是世界经济通向中国经济的入海口，也是中国联结世界的重要桥梁。今年进博会的参展企业数量再创历史新高，充分彰显中国超大规模市场的蓬勃生机和活力。进博会越办越好，很重要的是因为坚持“与天下同利”。在国际经贸活动中应当秉持什么样的价值理念，越来越成为重要而现实的问题。中国将坚持以经济建设为中心，集中力量推进高质量发展，将为全球经济增长作出新的重要贡献，坚定不移推进高水平对外开放，稳步扩大制度型开放，推进服务业扩大开放综合试点示范建设。

     格鲁吉亚总理科巴希泽、塞尔维亚总理马楚特、尼日利亚众议长塔杰丁、斯洛文尼亚国民委员会主席洛特里奇、阿联酋总统特别代表齐亚布亲王、联合国工发组织总干事穆勒等出席开幕式并致辞，联合国贸发会议秘书长格林斯潘视频致辞。来自155个国家、地区和国际组织及政商学界代表约1500人出席开幕式。

     欧中经济合作与发展理事会理事长、上海中欧中心理事长潘锋出席开幕式，并与部分省市领导、各国驻华使节、知名企业家代表进行会谈。

  The 8th China International Import Expo Opens in Shanghai

On the morning of November 5, the 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE) officially opened in Shanghai. Premier Li Qiang of the State Council attended the opening ceremony and delivered a keynote speech.

Li Qiang noted that the CIIE serves as an “estuary” connecting the world economy with China’s economy, and as an important bridge linking China with the world. This year, the number of participating enterprises has reached a record high, fully demonstrating the vitality and dynamism of China’s vast market. The continued success of the CIIE lies in its commitment to the principle of “benefiting the world through shared prosperity.” Li emphasized that in the realm of international economic and trade activities, the question of what values and principles should be upheld has become increasingly important and practical. China will remain committed to economic development as its central task and focus its efforts on advancing high-quality growth. By doing so, it will make new and significant contributions to global economic expansion. China will also steadfastly pursue high-standard opening-up, steadily expand institutional opening-up, and advance comprehensive pilot and demonstration programs for the further opening of the service sector.

Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze of Georgia, Serbian Prime Minister Djuro Macut, Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas of Nigeria, President of the National Council of Slovenia Marko Lotric, Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Special Representative of the President of the United Arab Emirates, and Gerd Müller, Director General of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), attended the opening ceremony and delivered remarks. Rebeca Grynspan, Secretary-General of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), addressed the ceremony via video link. Approximately 1,500 representatives from 155 countries, regions, and international organizations, including figures from government, business, and academia, attended the opening ceremony.

Pan Feng, President of the ECECDC and Chairman of the CEPCTE, attended the opening ceremony and held discussions with provincial and municipal leaders, foreign diplomats in China, and representatives of leading enterprises.
